French Estate Home

The approach when designing this French Estate residence was centered around utilizing the prestigious size of the lot, nestled at the center of a Court in King City, ON, to create a uniquely grand structure that drew on the inspiration of classical French Architecture. The natural choice for the exterior cladding was a custom fabricated limestone material that has a deep taupe hue, and heavy colour variation for depth.

To compliment this timelessly elegant material, a collection of contemporary stone window surrounds, decorative parapet details, and herringbone stone in-lays that provide a visual break when admiring the almost intimidating proportions of this residence’s massing.

The roofline in itself is a feature of this home, with a traditionally steep and dramatic roofline pitch, which is a nod to this historic design discipline, and compliments the unrelentingly wide proportions of the front and rear facades

On the interior, this French chateau spans across 6,500 square feet above grade and features a four car garage, a grand foyer that includes a full height vaulted ceiling and double staircases, a large basketball court, a full theater capable of entertaining up to 15 people, and an elevator servicing all floors of the home for accessibility for this multi-generational family.
