This large scale renovation project will seek to turn an existing 1950’s war-time bungalow into timelessly finished english cottage style home. Notable features of this home include a cedar shake roof, rustic exterior stone, and rear kitchenette and pool area featuring a limestone canopy that serves to provide two architecturally significant faces for the home.
Our interior design approach is one that understands that each room of a home can be used to create a different environment, and that these rooms and their designs will serve as the backdrop for your relaxation, familial growth, and work. The creation of an environment that you want to experience over and over again is the truest form of luxury design in our eyes.
Design Style Exploration
The most important part of any interior starts with the identification of the environment you are trying to create. This includes both the overall colours, mill work and feature wall styles, and specific features. The goal is to understand the feeling you want to experience everytime you enter your home. And as we always say, dont be afraid to make every room a reflection of you and your tastes.
Conceptual Interior Sketches
Jesse is a firm believer that sketching is an integral phase in the design process as it forces you to consider the proportions, and specific materials you require to develop a timeless design. This belief extends to the interior design of any home design commits to designing. Interior perspective sketches are developed closely with our clients to ensure they reflect their exact specifications while perfecting the proportions and design overall design vision for each space.
Reflected Ceiling Plans and Elevations
During this phase of the design process our team optimizes the initial floor plan design we developed. We work with you to further develop electrical design plans, floor finish plans, millwork placement, and unique ceiling details.
Material Selections
We offer all interior selection materials in our office to ensure our clients dont have to go out of their way to visit multiple stores. Every material is selected by our team and proposed to our clients for approval.
Photorealistic 3D Models
Photorealistic 3D models are used by our team to help our clients understand the relation between the floor plans, sketches, and the materials they chose. We consider this phase to be important in instilling the design vision in everyone who is involved in the project. The result of this phase being undertaken is typically a finished product that is very similar to the initial models.
On-Site Project Management
Our team works closely with the construction team to ensure that the design vision is properly executed. We also work hand in hand with the on-site
teams to develop unique and flexible solutions in the case there is a design change or that on-site conditions require modification.
